The San Francisco 49ers couldn’t hang on in their 28-21 home loss to to the Seattle Seahawks.
Quarterback Trey Lance inherited a 7-7 tie upon replacing Jimmy Garoppolo at halftime after he left the game with a calf injury.
Coach Kyle Shanahan will await results on Garoppolo’s injury before potentially installing a game plan for Lance as next Sunday’s starter in Arizona. Garoppolo anticipates being out a couple of weeks but does not think he sustained a season-ending injury such as a ruptured Achilles.
The 49ers face the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday on the road.
