Sunday's Serie A action produced yet more goals and talking points with Napoli still top of the Italian top-flight after a show of strength in Florence, but AC Milan kept the pressure on with a 3-2 win at Atalanta. Roma, meanwhile, remain in the chasing pack. There were goals galore in all games Sunday, with 23 finding the back of the net.

Milan keep pressure on
The Rossoneri came through a tough test away at Atalanta with a 3-2 victory, but they were 3-0 up with just 10 minutes to go. Davide Calabria, Sandro Tonali and Rafael Leao goals had Stefano Pioli's men cruising before a late burst from La Dea made it a nervy finish with Duvan Zapata and Mario Pasalic on target. That late brace for Atalanta now means that Napoli have the strongest defense in Serie A with just three goals conceded all season so far.
Napoli stay perfect
In a serious test of their title credentials, Luciano Spalletti's men came from behind to beat a good Viola side 2-1 in Florence to retain top spot into the international break. Lucas Martinez gave Fiorentina the lead, but Hirving Lozano and Amir Rrahmani ensured that the Partenopei took all three points. Napoli is now a perfect 7-0-0 to start the league season.
Roma navigate Empoli
Jose Mourinho and his players recovered from last week's defeat in the derby with Lazio by beating Empoli 2-0 in a routine victory. Lorenzo Pellegrini celebrated his recent contract extension with the opener before Henrikh Mkhitaryan added the second at Stadio Olimpico to keep the Giallorossi in the UEFA Champions League places.
Lazio blown out
Fresh from the high of their derby success over Roma, Lazio were blown away by Bologna with Musa Barrow and Arthur Theate combining twice to devastating effect within the opening 17 minutes. An Aaron Hickey effort made it three in the second half and there was no way back for Maurizio Sarri's men, who saw Francesco Acerbi sent off.
Verona smash Spezia
The improvement under Igor Tudor continues for Hellas Verona who were 3-0 up by halftime of their 4-0 thumping of Spezia. Giovanni Simeone, Davide Faraoni and Gianluca Caprari all netted inside the opening 45 minutes at Bentegodi before Daniel Bessa made it four while Thiago Motta's men sink closer to the bottom spot.
Sampdoria-Udinese thriller
However, as far as entertainment goes, no match could really compare with Sampdoria-Udinese as a topsy-turvy encounter ended 3-3. Roberto Pereyra opened the scoring for the visitors at Luigi Ferraris only for a Jens Stryger Larsen own goal to level things up. Beto gave Udinese the lead again only for Fabio Quagliarella and Antonio Candreva to put the home side in front. Fernando Forestieri was the hero for Luca Gotti's men with a late equalizer to ensure that it finished three apiece.
