Police investigating after 2 people shot overnight in Oklahoma City
Authorities are investigating after two people were shot and evidence of a shooting was found in northwest Oklahoma City.
Police told KOCO 5 that officers found evidence of a shooting around 4 a.m. Sunday near Northwest 23rd Street and Portland Avenue. Police said two people fled from the area before the evidence was found.
One of the people got to Reno and Martin Luther King avenues, where they flagged down an officer and said they needed medical attention. Police told KOCO 5 that the person had a gunshot wound to the forearm.
Shortly afterward, another person showed up at Baptist Hospital with a gunshot wound.
Police said they believe the two incidents are connected and are tied to the scene at Northwest 23rd Street and Portland Avenue. Authorities are unsure who did the shooting, if the two people shot each other or if a third party was involved.
