The New Orleans Saints finally return home to the Caesars Superdome today to host the New York Giants. A full-capacity Superdome could be a reality today for the first time since January 5th, 2020.
No big surprises on the inactives list this week for the Saints again this week.

Expect OL James Hurst to get the start in place of Terron Armstead who’s expected to miss several games after suffering an elbow injury last week against the New England Patriots. Meanwhile we could potentially see some shuffling in the middle of the Saints’ offensive line with Erik McCoy remaining out but Will Clap being activated off of injured reserve. I’d expect to see Cesar Ruiz and Calvin Throckmorton reprise their roles at center and guard respectively, but we’ll keep an eye on how Clapp gets incorporated even if as the sixth offensive lineman.
Lil’ Jordan Humphrey, Desmond Trufant, and Ian Book find their way on the inactive list again. This week, Montravius Adams is listed as opposed to Albert Huggins who was inactive last week. The Saints have been successful on the defensive interior despite the suspension of David Onyemata for the first six games of the season.
The Giants inactives. Look for Collin Johnson to start at WR, with a lot of Kadarius Toney in the slot.

The Giants list three of their starters as inavtives after ruling them out earlier this week. With Shepard and Slayton out, the focal point of the passing game leans on the success of the Daniel Jones and Kenny Golladay connection. Ben Bredeson continues the shuffle of offensive lineman for the Giants. An area the Saints will work to attack.
Most importantly, what is not on the inactive list is the home fans for the New Orleans Saints. Their first home game back after being on the road for 28 days due to the impact of Hurricane Ida. The fans will be active for this game. In every sense of the word.ense of the word.
