New Orleans Saints Week 4 Injury Report: Only 2 ruled out vs. Giants
The New Orleans Saints head home to the Caesars Superdome for the first time this regular season and get to host the winless New York Giants. NOLA is 2-1 with wins over the Packers and Patriots and the Giants are still hoping to secure their first win of the season.
Both teams will be without key players with the Saints’ both coming on the offensive line while the Giants are going to miss some of their best offensive weapons.

- Tae Crowder, LB – Hamstring
- Nate Ebner, DB – Quad
- Kaden Smith, TE – Knee
The Giants have more injuries than the Saints do, at least when looking at the injury report. New Orleans has key players on IR (Ken Crawley, Marcus Davenport, and Tre’Quan Smith to name a few) but they’ll only for sure be without two of their best offensive linemen on Sunday.
McCoy’s absence has greatly affected the o-line, as Cesar Ruiz hasn’t been the same dominant center since sliding over. James Hurst is a decent backup to Armstead but obviously, there aren’t many left tackles better than Armstead.
For the Giants, not having Shepard and Slayton is a huge loss for their offense. They’ll now be throwing a lot of passes Kenny Golladay’s way and the oft-injured wide receiver has yet to really impress since joining his new team.
Other Saints to appear on the injury report this week were Demario Davis (NFI – Personal), Marshon Lattimore (Hand), and Jameis Winston (Knee) but all three had full practices on Friday. Davis missed time because his wife had a baby.
Aside from Armstead and McCoy, four other Saints won’t be suiting up for this game, per Nick Underhill.
Lil’Jordan Humphrey, Desmond Trufant, Ian Book, Montravius Adams, Erik McCoy and Terron Armstead are inactive for the Saints.

Montravius Adams and Ian Book aren’t surprises but NOLA added Desmond Trufant to help their secondary and he’s yet to really play much since the team acquired him. Humphrey has been inactive the past two weeks.
