Franck Kessie hasn’t started this season in the best way possible and his contract with AC Milan will expire next summer. As things stand, a departure seems likely and there are several clubs interested, including Man Utd.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited by SpazioMilan, Man Utd are studying the possibility of signing Kessie for the post-Pogba era. The latter’s contract will also expire next summer and he earns €14m plus bonuses per year.

Kessie, on the other hand, would be happy with a salary of €8m per year. Milan have put €6.5m per year on the table and don’t intend to increase their offer. In other words, it will be up to the midfielder to decide his future.

It shouldn’t be excluded that he could leave already in January, as it would allow Milan to cash in something rather than losing him for free. They don’t want another Donnarumma-esque situation, but we aren’t far from that now.
