Paul Pogba has less than one year remaining on his current deal at Manchester United, with the midfielder free to speak to foreign clubs over a free transfer in just three months.

Pogba’s fine form towards the end of last season continued into this summer’s European Championship before also impressing in the new campaign, providing seven assists in as many games in the Premier League.

The France international was linked with a move away from the club over the summer but a move never materialised, despite interest from French giants Paris-Saint Germain.

According to The Sun, Manchester United are now looking to have a final resolution to Pogba’s contract situation by this Christmas and the club is reportedly confident of tying him down to a huge £400k-per-week deal, which would see him surpass David de Gea as United’s second-highest paid player.
