DeAndre Jordan made waves when he decided to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers in the summer. Not only did he add more star power to LA, but what stood out more is the fact that he spent last season with the Lakers' biggest threat to the 2022 NBA title in the Brooklyn Nets.

Jordan was recently asked to give his thoughts about his former team and how he believes this will impact his play with the Lakers this coming season. According to the former All-Star, this is the farthest things from his mind right now:

“I don’t care about that,” Jordan said, via Daniel Starkland of Lakers Nation. “Like I said, I got a lot of love for those guys over there. So I’m not thinking about, ‘oh, I should stayed,’ I’m not thinking about that. I’m thinking about where I’m at now and my focus is here with this group of guys and I’m excited about it. Like I said, we have plenty of friends on different teams and you’re not thinking about how their season’s going. You wish them luck and wish them health, but I’m focused on what we have here.”

Jordan is good friends with Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden, which is why leaving the Nets was not an easy thing to do for the 33-year-old veteran. Then again, he didn't really have any choice with Brooklyn deciding to trade him to the Detroit Pistons, who themselves eventually waived his contract shortly after.

DeAndre Jordan clearly has no ill will against his former team, though. Right now, he's just really focused on doing all he can to help the Lakers achieve their objectives this coming season.
