Two law enforcement officers and a suspect were shot during a chase in northwest Alabama on Friday, authorities said.

Colbert County Sheriff Frank Williamson said conditions of the officers and the third person weren’t immediately available, and it wasn’t clear what prompted the chase.

Authorities didn’t immediately say what agencies employed the officers, but the Muscle Shoals Police Department state on social media that none of its officers was hurt.

Photos and video from the scene showed police gathered near an old mall with yellow tape strung around an area and blocking an intersection.
