Real Madrid Star Says Kylian Mbappe Will Play For The Club

Real Madrid Star Says Kylian Mbappe Will Play For The Club

Mbappe's contract is up in the summer and the PSG forward is being heavily tracked by Real Madrid, who he wants to play for in the future.

Karim Benzema has added more fuel to the fire that Kylian Mbappe will sign for Real Madrid next summer, with his belief his countryman will play for the club.

Mbappe has been heavily linked with a move to Real for several years, with Los Blancos expecting to sign the forward before he moved from Monaco to PSG.

This summer the Spanish giants went hard to try and sign the 22-year-old in the summer, offering an staggering £189 million for him despite there only being one year left on his deal in Paris.

PSG decided to reject the bid but, in January, Carlo Ancelotti's team can return to make an offer to the player which would see him leave for nothing the following summer.

Whilst the Ligue 1 side are hopeful of keeping hold of their star, Benzema believes that Mbappe will sign for Real at some point.

"[Mbappe] said it himself, the former Lyon striker told L'Equipe.

"He wants to see something else. Someday he will play for Real Madrid.

"I don't know when. But he will come. It is only a matter of time."

Mbappe is obviously now playing alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar in the French capital, and the hopes at the Parc des Princes are that the trio become a legendary attack together.

In midweek fans really got the first sight of that when Mbappe set up Messi for his first goal for the club, as PSG beat Manchester City in the Champions League, with the Argentine instantly acknowledging his teammate's contribution.

Many would argue that staying in Paris is the better move for the former Monaco forward, with PSG on the rise and Real in a transitional period.

Benzema unsurprisingly doesn't agree with that idea. "[Real Madrid] are still the best club in the world," 33-year-old added.

"Reconstruction or not, it's a new football, a new generation, new players. We have to invest in young people so that one day they become great footballers.

"I'm here to help them. I talk a lot with them. I want to improve them.

"When you improve others, you improve the team and you get a lot of satisfaction."
