Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott can set the record for most wins by a trainer in the Woodward Stakes when he sends out two horses, Art Collector and Forza Di Oro, in the 2021 Woodward Stakes on Saturday. The 68-year-old Mott has won the prestigious race four times, tied with Bobby Frankel and J. Elliott Burch for the most Woodward wins all-time by a trainer. On Saturday, Art Collector has been installed as the 3-1 third choice in the 2021 Woodward Stakes odds, while Forza Di Oro is the 5-1 fourth choice. The Brendan Walsh-trained Maxfield is the 7-5 morning-line favorite in the six-horse Woodward Stakes 2021 field.

One surprise: Weir is fading Code of Honor, even though he is the 5-2 second choice on the morning line. Bred and owned by Will Farish, Code of Honor will be making just his third start of the year. He has seven wins and almost $2.9 million in earnings in 17 career starts.
But Weir doesn't think that Code of Honor, who is now five years old, has not progressed since his rousing victory in the Travers Stakes two years ago. "He's hard to dismiss, but I'm not convinced this horse will build off his return win at Monmouth," Weir told SportsLine. Weir prefers three horses over Code of Honor.
