A mysterious aircraft was spotted at a Lockheed testing facility in the Mojave Desert outside of Palmdale, California.

According to Daily Caller, the general manager of the facility known as "Skunk Works" refused to comment.

A video of a strange, sleek aircraft being loaded into a flatbed trailer was making the rounds on several social media platforms on September 22.

An aviation enthusiast, Ruben Hofs, reposted the video to his Twitter and did some digging to discover that the footage was likely filmed at Skunk Works' Helendale Radar Cross Section Facility.

Skunk Works is a military aviation technology division of Lockheed Martin and develops many top-secret U.S. military aircraft, reports Daily Caller.

Later, Lockheed Martin's vice president and general manager of Skunk Works Jeff Babione was asked about the mysterious aircraft in an interview. He said he couldn't say anything about what people saw in the video.

Another report at Aviation Week showed the video to Air Force Gen. Mark Kelly.

“His immediate reply was that he had no idea what it was,” the reporter, Steve Trimble tweeted. “And then he took my laptop and stared at it for about 20 seconds. His expression was (WARNING: my impression) somewhere between confused and impressed.”
