Now that the October month has finally begun, Nike and Jordan Brand gearing up for all of its upcoming festivities such as Halloween and Día de los Muertos, both of which will be celebrated with special footwear pieces from the brand. For the latter holiday, Michael Jordan’s sportswear imprint is serving up a special Air Jordan 1 Mid “SiEMPRE Familia” colorway, and it has just been unveiled through official images.

There’s a profusion of cultural details to call out on this Jordan design, the first being the tonal safari-like patterns that are pasted to the collars as well as the overlays that neighbor the throat and the toe boxes. Next up are the Swooshes which keep their general shape, but they’ve been altered to look like an intricate archery arrow with red, yellow and teal hues. Toe boxes are done up with a red buttery suede, and come furnished with tooth-like figures that sit across the front. Additionally, the ball-and-wings logos have been prepared with matching accents as the aforementioned Swooshes and a dog-like figure is slapped onto the lateral heel. You can also expect the shoes to come packaged in a special Nike box that is plastered with more traditional iconography.

Expect these to likely drop sometime around the Día de los Muertos holidays (November 1 and 2, 2021) via Nike and other retailers.
