DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a man they say opened fire outside of a jazz cafe on the city’s east side, injuring three people.

It all unfolded around 1 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 24 at Mandee’s Jazz Cafe, in the area of Conant Street and E. McNichols Road. Authorities say the suspect -- who has been identified as Daiquan Ousley -- and at least one of the victims had gotten into a dispute inside the cafe, before going outside. It was not clear what led to the dispute.

Surveillance footage from a nearby Project Greenlight camera captured the incident, as the suspect pulled out a handgun in the middle of the street and fired into the crowd, striking three people.

The victims were all taken to a hospital, where they were said to be in stable condition.

Detroit police on Thursday identified Ousley as the suspect and released his photo on social media. Before he had been identified, authorities had described the suspect as about 5-foot-10, between 240-260 lbs.

Anyone who has seen Ousley or has any information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Detroit Police Department's 11th precinct at 313-596-1140.

Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak-Up. As always, those who call Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous, and will not be required to speak to police.
