McCormick signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Kraken on Wednesday, per PuckPedia.
McCormick posted three points and 16 hits in 12 games with the Hurricanes last season. The 29-year-old winger is unlikely to begin the year with the Kraken, so expect him to report to AHL Charlotte. Even if he makes his way to the big club later in 2021-22, he'll likely be stuck in a depth role.
