Sullivan County Detective Sgt. Josh Stewart passes away from COVID-19

BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. (WCYB) —
Sullivan County Detective Sgt. Josh Stewart passed away Monday from COVID-19, according to a Facebook post made by the sheriff's office.

Stewart joined the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office in 2008 as a corrections officer. He later moved to the Patrol Division and then the Criminal Investigations Division. He was eventually promoted to the rank of Sergeant in CID in September 2020.
Stewart leaves behind his wife and two children, who were his pride and joy, the department added.
