Top 15 women’s bantamweights will jockey for position behind longtime champion Amanda Nunes when Aspen Ladd faces “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 28 winner Macy Chiasson in a UFC Fight Night 193 showcase this Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Ladd, who has missed extended time due to a serious knee injury, enters the cage with a 5-1 record under the Ultimate Fighting Championship banner. She has not competed since Dec. 7, 2019, when she cut down Yana Kunitskaya with third-round punches at UFC on ESPN 7. Chiasson, meanwhile, has rattled off back-to-back victories. She last appeared at UFC on ESPN 21, where she laid claim to a unanimous decision over Marion Reneau on March 20.

As Ladd and Chiasson make their final preparations, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

26: Years of age for Ladd, who was born in Folsom, California, on March 1, 1995. Madonna’s “Take A Bow,” TLC’s “Creep,” Boyz II Men’s “On Bended Knee,” Soul For Real’s “Candy Rain” and Brandy’s “Baby” were the Top 5 songs on Billboard’s Hot 100 list at the time.

7: Ladd victories by knockout, technical knockout or submission, accounting for 67% of her career total (nine). Her list of victims includes Tonya Evinger, Lina Lansberg and Amanda Bobby Brundage. Ladd owns two other victories by decision, both of them at the expense of Sijara Eubanks.

41: Significant strikes by which Ladd outlanded Evinger, as she put away the former Invicta Fighting Championships titleholder with punches 3:46 into their first round of their UFC 229 pairing in October 2018. Ladd connected on 50 such strikes while absorbing only nine of them in return.

1: Loss on the Ladd resume. She succumbed to punches from Germaine de Randamie a mere 16 seconds into their UFC Fight Night 155 main event on July 13, 2019.

5.22: Strikes landed per minute by Ladd as a member of the UFC roster, placing her fifth on the promotion’s all-time list at 135 pounds. Only Leslie Smith (7.69), Jessica Andrade (5.66), Irene Aldana (5.61) and Pannie Kianzad (5.56) have connected at a higher rate.

30: Years of age for Chiasson, who was born in New Orleans on July 27, 1991. “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” “Mobsters,” “One Hundred and One Dalmatians,” “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey” and “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves” were the Top 5 movies at the domestic box office at the time.

4: Chiasson wins by knockout, technical knockout or submission, accounting for 57% of her career total (seven). Kianzad, Sarah Moras and Gina Mazany were among the victims. Chiasson holds three other wins by decision.

154: Total strikes landed by Chiasson in a unanimous decision over Shanna Young at UFC Fight Night 167 in February 2020. It remains the only fight in which she has surpassed the century mark in the category.

1: Defeat on the Chiasson ledger. She wound up on the wrong side of the scorecards in a three-round unanimous verdict against the aforementioned Lansberg at UFC Fight Night 160 on Sept. 28, 2019.

3: Organizations in which Chiasson has competed as a professional mixed martial artist. She has gone 5-1 in the UFC, 1-0 in Invicta and 1-0 in In Ya Face Fight Productions.
