Major renovations are underway in Dunellen to create new residential spaces.
Mayor Jason Cilento announced on Tuesday the Dunellen Station Project. More than 380 homes are being built at the former Art Color complex – 58 of the homes will be affordable housing. The rest will be apartments and townhouses.
The homes are designed and marketed for commuters who take trains and buses to work.
“The future is bright for Dunellen. We’re going to have an economic boom from this. These residents are going to shop in our downtown. The revenue from this project is going to help with alleviating the tax burden in town. Improving infrastructure and beautifying our downtown,” the mayor said.
Residents will also have access to a clubhouse, community room, weight room and pool.
