ALTON—A 57-year-old Elkhorn, NE, woman was arrested about 2:40 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, northeast of Alton on a charge of first-offense operating while under the influence.
The arrest of Jaclyn Rae Lago stemmed from the stop of a northbound 2018 Nissan Rogue for speeding on the Highway 60 expressway, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
Lago had bloodshot, watery eyes; impaired balance; slurred speech and the odor of an alcoholic beverage and failed preliminary sobriety tests
An open bottle of alcohol was found on the front passenger seat.
