A six-week lull in prospects committing to Alabama ended Tuesday when 2022 offensive tackle Elijah Pritchett pledged to the Tide.
Pritchett, the No. 94 overall recruit in 247 Sports’ composite rankings, chose Alabama over other finalists Georgia, Florida State and USC.
Pritchett, who plays at Carver High School in Columbus, Georgia, lists himself as 6-foot-7 and 285 pounds. He is the third offensive tackle in Alabama’s 2022 class, joining Tyler Booker (No. 42 overall) and Dayne Shor (No. 368 overall).
Alabama now has 15 players committed for its 2022 class, which moved to No. 6 to No. 3 nationally by 247 Sports before Pritchett’s commitment. Pritchett is the first commitment to the Tide since Jake Pope on Aug. 16.
National early signing day is December 15.
