Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal made headlines on Monday after he voiced that he hasn’t received the COVID-19 vaccine and proceeded to slam the whole idea of it. Now, he’s trying to salvage his comments. Take a look:

Beal even revealed that he’s still considering getting the jab:

At this point, there isn’t a vaccine mandate throughout the NBA, which means Bradley Beal wouldn’t have to get it. But, most of the league has been fully vaccinated, which only makes sense. Beal spoke on how people are still getting infected even if they’re vaxxed, which raises concerns as to how effective it really is.

Ultimately though, there is really no other way to try and combat this entire pandemic. Bradley Beal is entitled to his opinion, just like Andrew Wiggins and Kyrie Irving, but if he ended up missing a chunk of games for the Wizards, it would desperately hurt this team because after all, he is the franchise centerpiece.

There aren’t any mandates in DC like San Francisco and New York, which means Beal would be available to play in home games. But, his chances of testing positive are definitely higher without the vaccine. It appears that Bradley Beal realizes he was a little bit too harsh on Monday and now he’s backtracking on his remarks. The last thing we need is more people to not believe in all the work these scientists have put in to try and get this virus under some sort of control.
