Nick Cannon Will Moderate Jamie Foxx’s New York Book Tour Appearance

Though he is one of the most-guessed celebrities in The Masked Singer history, Foxx has yet to appear on the show as a performer. Fans hope to see Foxx unmasked by Cannon on stage each season. Instead, the Academy Award winner has emersed himself into so many current and upcoming projects. He will appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home in December.

He did serve as a guest judge on The Masked Singer in Season 3. Prior to that, he and Cannon played together in the 2018 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Foxx has been very open about helping out other artists during the early days of their careers. Cannon is one of many entertainers he has gotten close with over the years.

“I had Ed Sheeran sleep on my couch for six weeks,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “Before he made it, he came to my crib. So did Anthony Hamilton, Nick Cannon, all these (people). You gotta press anybody that’s got that artistic feel, that touch, you’ve got to lift them up.”

On his new talk show, Nick Cannon, Cannon shared that in the early days of his career, he also slept on Kenan Thompson’s couch. Things started falling into place once he was cast in Drumline in 2002. Cannon was on the come up in his career along with Thompson and Kevin Hart. Now, he’s the host of The Masked Singer, has his own talk show, and leads the long-running Wild ‘N Out.

“Excited to talk fatherhood, share stories from the book and crack jokes with the folks of NYC,” Foxx continued.

Each ticket to the event that is purchased will come with an autographed copy of Act Like You Got Some Sense. In the book, Foxx shares the story of being raised by his grandmother. He tackles fatherhood and how he got his claim to fame. He also announced that The Voice Mega Mentor Snoop Dogg will be joining him for the tour date on Oct. 22.
