Five escape from Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office Marksville DC-1 Jail

On September 27, 2021, at approximately 1933 hours, the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office Marksville DC-1 Jail Facility Deputies detected an escape by five (5) male prisoners. The following inmates escaped the DC-1 facility:
1) William Johnson, a 27-year-old black male from Marksville, LA. He is approximately 5’9” tall with black hair. He may be headed to the Marksville area.
2) Kyle Cavalier, a 19-year-old white male from Bunkie, LA. He is approximately 5’5” tall with brown hair. He was last seen in the Mansura, LA area shortly after the escape.
3) Davantae Williams, a 20-year-old black male from Bunkie, LA. He is approximately 5’6” tall with black hair. He may be headed to the Bunkie area.
4) Dakeylon Berry, a 19-year-old black male from Hessmer, LA. He is approximately 5’10” tall with black hair. He may be headed to the Mansura area.
5) Rondrakus Taylor, a 19-year-old black male from Mansura, LA. He is approximately 5’6” tall with black hair. He may be headed to the Mansura area.
Investigations are ongoing. Upon completion of our investigations, security enhancements, changes in security procedures, and construction repair and alteration operations will be implemented. More participants and/or persons that assisted their escape, or aid in their evading capture, may be identified with charges for all involved forthcoming.
