Fan Letters: Stream viewer Lee wants to hear more of the crowd noise; how good is Callum Doyle?!

While he’s a fan of the commentary, RR reader Lee would like the crowd noise pumped up on the stream, too!

Dear Roker Report,

As an expat on the bottom of the world, I live on the live streams and full 90 replays which to be honest are getting better every year that we are in League One. I have a big gripe though and hope to get this posted to get a bit of traction with your readers and the club (I’ve emailed the club three times without reply).

My gripe is with the volume level of the commentary versus the crowd noise. Watching the stream with the commentary at a comfortable level means the crowd is barely audible, and as we all are too acutely aware, the crowd makes the difference! The commentary has been great and this is not just about how excited Frankie can get (which I love btw).

Can RR with its influence please pass on my concerns to the club?

Lee Doc

Ed’s Note [Martin]: Thanks for your email Lee – I agree, it would be nice to hear more of the crowd on the commentary – it’s barely audible compared to the commentary. It’s disappointing that you’ve not had a reply from three emails about it though – on the ‘admin’ side of the club things seem to be falling through the cracks. People from the club read Roker Report though, so hopefully they can do something about it!

Dear Roker Report,

Cheltenham have completely passed me by. Cracking start they’ve had. Yet I’m not sure how they escaped my notice. I hope that this is not a bad sign and that our side too will take them lightly. As we know these teams come here and raise their games!

Looking forward to the game on Tuesday though. Up in the NE visiting family and have extended our stay an extra few days to fit the game in. Saturday was our first visit of the season and what an atmosphere – let’s hope the performance tonight is better though.

Keep the faith.

Ian Tomlinson

Ed’s Note [Martin]: Fingers crossed we have a good performance and result tonight Ian, and it makes your extended trip worthwhile. Cheltenham have had a decent start for a newly promoted team and will pose a different sort of test for us – but with the talent we have in our squad, particularly going forward, I’m confident of a good result! Enjoy the game.

Dear Roker Report,

Callum Doyle is brilliant. That is all. Do we have him next season, too?

Josh Kelly

Ed’s Note [Martin]: He’s excellent, isn’t he Josh? Unbeliveable that he’s so young and producing such good performances. While some people thought he may have not been at his best on Saturday, our Talking Tactics article yesterday illustrated just how important he is to how we play. Next season? I don’t know for certain – a second season has been rumoured, and may well depend on how well he does, and we do.
