How can I play FIFA 22 early?
There are a number of ways in which you can play FIFA 22 early, ahead of the official release date on October 1, 2021.
Sign up to EA Play
One way of playing FIFA 22 before the release date is by signing up to EA Play - a service which will allow subscribers a 10-hour preview trial.
The EA Play early access trial is available from September 22, 2021 - 10 days before the official launch day.
Available on PlayStation, Xbox and Windows devices, the price of an EA Play subscription is £3.99 a month (£0.79 for the first month currently) or £19.99 for an annual subscription.
As well as being able to play FIFA 22 early, subscribers to EA Play receive a number of other perks related to other EA game titles, with a library of free games and discounts available.

What do I get in FIFA 22's Ultimate Edition?
The Ultimate Edition is FIFA 22's most expensive version and has extra features to the Standard Edition while also being playable across the same platforms.
It will be released on October 1, 2021.
It includes:
- FIFA 22 game for PS4 and PS5
- TOTW 1 Player - a FUT card representing one of the in-form players from that week
- Kylian Mbappe Loan Item - usage of the PSG star in a limited amount of FUT games
- FUT Ambassador Loan Player Pick - usage of a star for a limited amount of FUT games
- Career Mode Homegrown Talent - a talented player included in your career mode squad
- Four days early access to the game
- 4600 FIFA Points
- FUT Ones to Watch item - a FUT card featuring a player at a new club for this season
FIFA 22 will not support cross-platform play, but purchasers of the Ultimate Edition will be able to match online with users on the same console - no matter what generation it is.
