Global payment startup Splitit is integrating Salesforce Commerce Cloud to streamline users’ ability to spread payments over installments at checkout for eCommerce purchases, according to a press release.

Aside from the new Salesforce Commerce Cloud integration, Splitit also rolled out an iteration of its WooCommerce plugin, bringing advanced features to the platform, the release stated.

“Adding Commerce Cloud was a key priority for Splitit to be accepted by merchants around the world while strengthening our overall eCommerce presence,” said Splitit Interim CEO John Harper in the release. “We expect this will help us accelerate conversations and adoption with large merchants using Commerce Cloud.”

“We are in a strong position to serve businesses natively on the eCommerce platform of their choice,” Harper added in the release. “From the smallest to the largest global enterprise merchant, we have a simple way for them to add Splitit to the checkout process.”

The merging of Splitit’s Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Storefront Reference Architecture were created to make it easier for the solutions to complement one another, according to the release. The integration gives merchants the ability to offer their users a credit line based on the amount offered by their credit cards, but in equal installments that are interest-free.

Salesforce Commerce Cloud offers a cartridge that is PCI DSS Level I compliant and supports Splitit FlexFields, which empowers merchants to integrate Splitit into their eCommerce checkout, the release stated.

WooCommerce merchants using WordPress can add Splitit with an updated plugin for an improved shopper experience. The plug-in offers “an easier and improved configuration” as well as “native support for Splitit FlexFields and full support for Splitit throughout the entire customer journey,” according to the release.

Splitit is the only buy now, pay later (BNPL) solution that ensures shoppers remain on the merchants’ websites, the release stated. For shoppers, there are no point-of-sale (POS) financing or applications to consider, nor are there re-direct or additional steps that get in the way of the checkout process.
