Is Ole Miss going to pull off an upset and come out of Tuscaloosa with a huge win over top-ranked Alabama on Saturday? Former Crimson Tide quarterback and ESPN analyst Greg McElroy doesn’t think so.

As the No. 1 team in the country, Alabama is favored to beat No. 12 Ole Miss in this matchup of SEC West rivals. However, the Rebels have been playing well and could be capable of giving the Crimson Tide a competitive game.

McElroy’s prediction indicates he doesn’t think that will be the case. He appeared on “The Paul Finebaum Show” on Monday and made a pick that will likely be common among analysts this week — Alabama to win in sizable fashion.

“I’d be surprised if it wasn’t by 2 TDs or so,” McElroy said on the show.

Alabama has dominated again so far in 2021, having won each of its first 4 games. Its closest test thus far was a 31-29 win over Florida in Week 3.

The Crimson Tide haven’t lost a game since the final week of the 2019 regular season. They’ve also won 5 straight meetings with the Rebels, as Ole Miss hasn’t defeated Alabama since 2015.

Alabama and Ole Miss are set to kick off on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
