LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Kiwanis Club of Lock Haven recently met with board members of the Chestnut Grove Recreation Authority to commit $10,000 to the Robbie Gould Youth Sports Complex.

The contribution will grant the club naming rights to a batting cage at the East Park location. Kiwanis made a five year commitment donating $2,000 per year.

The complex development is underway in Castanea Township. The authority plans to have major advancements begin this fall although supply delivery will determine the timeline. Ideally, the fields will be ready for play in 2022.

CGRA Chair, Marci Orndorf said, “We greatly appreciate the Kiwanis Club of Lock Haven investing in this project. We hope other clubs and organizations in the community will also consider making a contribution.”

Kiwanis President, Steve Stevenson said, “Our club donates a considerable amount of money into our community pertaining to the advocacy of children, but this opportunity will give our club recognition for years to come and serve countless kids and families.”
