• Last week, Taylor Swift posted a TikTok about making the switch from country music to pop stardom, referencing superstar Shania Twain as one of the icons who helped encourage her.
  • Shania Twain just responded with her own clip, thanking Taylor and passing the recognition torch to Dolly Parton, who Shania says helped pave the way for her in the industry.
  • Naturally, fans are loving their interaction and flooded the comments with pleas for a collaboration.

Taylor Swift has cited country-pop icon Shania Twain as an inspiration for her own cross-genre career, but now fans have been treated to video proof of these two stars' friendship and admiration for each other.

Taylor originally posted a TikTok clip featuring the popular song "Mama Said" by Lukas Graham to give credit to Shania for paving the way from the country genre to mainstream pop, and recently, Shania replied with a clip of her own:

Shania thanked the legendary Dolly Parton in her caption, and included images and footage of the two icons performing together over the years. She wrote, "Thank you @taylorswift ❀️ I appreciate you! Paying this one forward to another trailblazer - @dollyparton 😘 #mamasaid #letsgogirls"

Fans, as to be expected, were thrilled by the social media shoutouts. One fan commented, "Yesssss you all ROCK this COUNTRY 😍πŸ”₯" while another added, "YES MA’AM SHANIA!!!!!!! FOREVER MY FAV TRAILBLAZER!!!!! 😍😍😍😍"

Other users were more concerned about the possibility of collaboration between the three artists, and added comments like "Give us a Shania x Dolly x Taylor pop mash up/collab 😍πŸ”₯😍," and "Please say you two collaborated and you’re on 1989 (Taylor’s Version) πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ½."

Regardless of any future projects that may be in the works, we think it's safe to say that all three of these women have a pretty special place in country AND pop music!
