WILDWOOD, Mo. (KMOX) - It's been on market for nearly seven months and now the home formerly owned by Nelly has been sold.
Photos of the decrepit property in Wildwood, Missouri went viral earlier this year when it was first put up for sale. The six-bedroom home was once worth $2 million, but was listed with a price tag of just $599,000.
It has private basketball court, large pool (which was partially demolished) and a beautiful few of the Meramec River.
According to the listing, the property was sold on a short sale, which means it sold for a price that is less than the amount still owed on the mortgage. A short sale is typically less severe for the seller than if there was foreclosure, according to Investopedia.
The home is located at 17329 Hidden Valley Dr., right next to Hidden Valley Ski Resort.
It's unclear when the last time the St. Louis-born rapper lived at the home, but in 2009 an intruder broke into the mansion and stole a video game system and some electronics, according to a report.
