A new Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll shows a quarter of Iowans do not plan to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
The poll finds a combined 70 percent of adults either have at least one dose of the vaccine or plan to get vaccinated.
CDC data shows 70.5 percent of Iowa adults have gotten at least one shot of the vaccine. The same data shows 65.8 percent of adults in Iowa are fully vaccinated.
The poll interviewed 805 Iowans between September 12 and 15 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
This poll comes as 642 people are in Iowa hospitals with COVID-19, 108 coming in the last 24 hours, according to state data.
165 patients are in the ICU.
IDPH data shows 80 percent of patients in the hospital are not fully vaccinated and the same goes for 84.8 percent of patients in the ICU.
