Dawson assumes role of Crisp County Coroner

CORDELE, GA — Rickey Dawson of Cordele was sworn in Thursday morning at the Crisp County Courthouse as Coroner of Crisp County to fill the unexpired term of Jimmy Rainey who served more than 4 decades.

Mr. Dawson said his office would continue to carry on the legacy that Mr. Rainey had established during his 40-year tenure. Richard Wright will serve as deputy coroner. Crisp County Probate Court Judge Amber Roberts Holloway presided.
