Moore Police Department is partnering with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) for an event called "Cops and Bobbers Fishing Derby."
Cops and Bobbers will take place Sunday, Oct. 10th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the pond in Buck Thomas Park.
The event will be open to all kids in Moore, with fishing equipment and bait also being provided to participants to use.
MPD said in their Facebook post that there will also be basic fishing education, such as knot tying, casting and identifying fish. The basic fishing education will take place at the beginning of the event with the rest of the time being spent fishing.
Breakfast will be provided for attendees by the Santiago-Brennan's McDonalds locations.
MPD said the event is limited to 50 participants. All attendees must register to attend the event. You can register for the event by clicking here.
