New Southport waterfront restaurant now open

The former Yacht Basin Eatery location on Southport's waterfront is home to a new restaurant.
Edgewater 122 now occupies 122 Yacht Basin Drive and has joined the busy food-and-drink area that also includes Provision Company, American Fish Company, The Mullet Bar and Fishy Fish Café.

The menu at Edgewater lists small plates, salads and entrees like steak frites, seared tuna and the Basin Burger. Small plates options include a shrimp roll, tomato bisque, mac-and-cheese and charcuterie. There are also six salads on the menu, from Nicoise to Kale & Grains.
Right now, Edgewater 122 is open Tuesday-Sunday beginning at 4 p.m.
