Adopt A Pet Today from the Lassen County Animal Shelter – Mitsu (ADOPTED)

UPDATE: Mitsu has been adopted

Playful. Energetic. Handsome. Those three words sum up Mitsu nicely.

Through no fault of his own, Mitsu was surrendered to the Lassen County Animal Shelter and he’s now in search of his forever home. This spunky guy is about a year old, neutered, and up to date on his vaccinations. He can be a bit shy at first, but it doesn’t take him long to want to head out into the play yard to stretch his legs and zoom about.

Mitsu previously lived with children of various ages and cats. Potential adopters should be aware that Mitsu will need adequate exercise and mental stimulation; Huskies can get bored quickly.

He will need help with his leash etiquette and a refresher on some basic commands. Mitsu does know ‘sit’ and he’s very smart, so with consistent training, he should be able to easily master the rest of what it takes to be a good canine citizen. He is very eager to please and learn.

If interested in Mitsu or other adoptable animals at the shelter please call the staff at (530) 257-9200.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
