Can You Stream Apple Music on Fire Stick?

You can’t stream Apple Music directly on Fire Stick, because there is no Apple Music app for Amazon’s Fire TV. There is an Apple Music skill for Alexa though, and Alexa is capable of streaming music to a variety of devices, including Fire TV devices, from services like Apple Music and Amazon Music. That means you can’t stream Apple Music directly on Fire Stick, but you can listen to Apple Music on a Fire Stick with the assistance of the Alexa app on your phone or tablet.

Here’s how to enable Apple Music on Fire Stick:

1. Open the Alexa app on your phone.
   

2. Tap More.
   

3. Tap Skills & Games.
   

4. Tap the magnifying glass icon.
   

5. Type Apple Music.
   

6. Tap Apple Music in the search results.
   

7. Tap Enable.
   

8. Tap Settings.
   

9. Tap Link Account.
   

10. If prompted, select a web browser.
    

11. Enter your Apple ID and password.
    

12. Obtain a two-factor code from your Apple device, and enter it when prompted.
    

13. Tap Allow.
    

14. Tap Close.
    

15. You can now use Alexa to stream Apple Music on your Fire TV devices.
    

How Can I Listen to Apple Music on Fire Stick?

If you’ve enabled the Apple Music skill in the Alexa app on your phone or tablet and linked your Apple Music account, you’re ready to start listening to Apple Music on your Fire Stick. Here’s how to do it:

1. Make sure your Fire Stick is on, connected to your TV, and that your TV is on the right input.
   

2. Press and hold the Microphone button on your Fire TV remote.
   

   You can also use the Fire TV app instead of your remote. With the app open on your phone, slide down from the top to activate the microphone.

3. Say, “Alexa, play Apple Music.”
   

4. Your Fire Stick will start playing Apple Music.
   

   If you don’t specify a song, artist, or genre, it will play a random song based on your Apple Music activity.

5. You can also say things like “Alexa, play (Artist’s name) radio on Apple Music” for random songs, “Alexa, play (genre) on Apple Music” for music in a specific genre, and other similar commands.
   

6. Use your Fire TV remote to pause, play, or return to the Fire TV home menu when you’re done. If you asked Alexa to play an Apple Music playlist or radio station, you can also use the forward and back buttons to skip songs or go back to the previous song.
   

Why Won’t Apple Music Work on Fire Stick?

Apple Music doesn’t work natively on Fire Stick because there is no Apple TV app for Fire TV.
