Here are the SEC Power Rankings after four weeks of play. Don’t look behind you because a horde of Hogs might be catching up.

No. 1 Alabama (4-0)

Last Week: 1

This week: vs. Ole Miss

What to know: Georgia fans are barking and, yes, that means literally barking to be No. 1 – but Alabama has done just enough every week to hold that top spot.

No. 2 Georgia (4-0)

Last Week: 2

This week: vs. Arkansas

What to know: The strangest thing about Georgia’s beatdown is that there were few Vanderbilt fans to witness the steamrolling.

No. 3 Arkansas (4-0)

Last Week: 8

This week: at Georgia

What to know: Who saw the Red Pig Renaissance coming? No one except the SEC schedule-makers, who made it so Arkansas still has No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Georgia ahead on the nation’s toughest slate.

No. 4 Florida (3-1)

Last Week: 4

This Week: at Kentucky

What to know: A second straight week of starting slowly then turning on the jets, which was more than sufficient against Tennessee.

No. 5 Ole Miss (3-0)

Last Week: 5

This week: at Alabama

What to know: As veteran fans will know, Alabama out-dueled Archie Manning and Ole Miss 33-32 in a 1969 classic that was considered a pinnacle offensive display. Might be time for that game to step aside.

No. 6 Texas A&M (3-1)

Last Week: 3

This week: vs. Mississippi State

What to know: Most of last Saturday’s credit has to go to Arkansas, but playing a backup quarterback didn’t help the Aggies.

No. 7 LSU (3-1)

Last Week: 7

This week: vs. Auburn

What to know: Really intriguing matchup against Auburn, especially if LSU transfer T.J. Finley gets the start under the lights in Baton Rouge, but for the other side.

No. 8 Auburn (3-1)

Last Week: 6

This week: at LSU

What to know: The Tigers stared into the abyss against Georgia State but pulled out of the nosedive just in time.

AUBURN VS. GEORGIA STATE:What went wrong for Auburn football in that disastrous first half vs. Georgia State?

No. 9 Kentucky (4-0)

Last Week: 9

This week: vs. Florida

What to know: Undefeated if not exactly dominant, this game gives Kentucky a chance to step up to the higher tier.

KENTUCKY FOOTBALL:'We're going to make them respect us': Should Kentucky football be ranked in the top 25?

No. 10 Mississippi State (2-2)

Last Week: 10

This week: at Texas A&M

What to know: There are moments of explosiveness for the Bulldogs every week but the question is which team they will blow up on, MSU or the opponent.

Kentucky fans celebrated beating Missouri.

No. 11 Missouri (2-2)

Last Week: 11

This week: vs. Tennessee

What to know: It would have been nice to reward thicker kicker Harrison Mevis for the 56-yard field goal at the buzzer, but you have to finish in overtime.

No. 12 Tennessee (2-2)

Last Week: 12

This week: at Missouri

What to know: The game at Missouri may un-muddle some things in the mid-range of SEC East for whatever that’s worth.

VOLS VS. GATORS:Is Tennessee football vs. Florida Gators even a rivalry anymore?

No. 13 South Carolina (2-2)

Last Week: 13

This week: vs. Troy

What to know: Shane Beamer is starting to sound depressed and it is years too early for that.

No. 14 Vanderbilt (1-3)

Last Week: 14

This week: vs. Connecticut

What to know: Forget about the Georgia game. Just hit delete on it. Vandy has a legitimate shot at winning this week.
