A Dunkirk man is facing multiple charges including criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree after a traffic stop late Sunday evening on Routes 5 and 20 in the town of Hanover. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies pulled over 28-year-old Casey Crane for an observed infraction. Further investigation led to Crane being charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally possessing hypodermics, aggravated unlicensed operation, operating without insurance, open container, and inadequate headlights. Crane was issued appearance tickets and released. He'll answer to Hanover Town Court at a later date.
