Game of Thrones favourite Pilou Asbæk has joined the latest Stephen King adaptation Salem's Lot.
The Danish actor is best known for his snarling performance as Euron Greyjoy in HBO's fantasy hit, which ran for eight seasons up until 2019.
Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, he's turning his attention to the role of Richard Straker – vampire Kurt Barlow's business partner.

Writer-director Gary Dauberman is currently shooting this one in Boston, with Lewis Pullman (Bad Times at the El Royale) leading the piece as author Ben Mears, who returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem's Lot in search of inspiration for his next project.
Whilst settling back in, Ben uncovers a horrifying secret: the townspeople are being preyed upon by a blood-sucking creature of the night.
Alfre Woodard (Luke Cage), Makenzie Leigh (Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk), Bill Camp (The Outsider), William Sadler (The Shawshank Redemption) and Spencer Treat Clark (Glass) will play supporting characters.

Asbæk clearly made an impression on executive producer James Wan, who's just directed him in Worlds of DC sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Since first arriving in Westeros, he's set his sights on Hollywood with notable titles such as Overlord, Ghost in the Shell, The Great Wall and next year's dark superhero flick Samaritan.
As for the ever-rolling King adaptation train, fans of the prolific scribe can look forward to Ryan Murphy's Mr Harrigan's Phone, HBO's Throttle and Firestarter starring Zac Efron.
We're still reeling from Amazon Prime's cancellation of The Dark Tower series though.
Salem's Lot is scheduled for release on September 9, 2022.
