Pittsburgh police investigating after toddler shot, brought to hospital

PITTSBURGH — A toddler was brought to a Pittsburgh hospital Sunday afternoon with a gunshot wound.

The toddler arrived at the Allegheny General Hospital’s emergency entrance in a private vehicle before the child was rushed to UPMC Children’s hospital in critical condition, according to police. The toddler was upgraded to stable condition Monday morning.

Detectives are working to find out where the shooting occurred.

Channel 11 observed a number of police vehicles at at an address on Beltzhoover Avenue that may be connected to the investigation.
