San Diego police: Man wounds girlfriend, kills himself in Bay Ho shooting
The shooting happened on Hiawatha Way late Sunday afternoon
A man shot and wounded his girlfriend before he fatally shot himself in the Bay Ho neighborhood late Sunday afternoon, San Diego police said.
Officers responded to a report of domestic violence and gunfire at a home on Hiawatha Way, just west of Clairemont Drive, about 5:15 p.m. They found the man dead in a front yard, Officer John Buttle said.
The man was bleeding from his head, according to scanner traffic.
The woman, who had been shot in the back, was taken to a hospital for treatment, Buttle said. An update on her condition was unavailable late Sunday.
