A woman was killed on Sunday when a car ran over her after being ejected from the vehicle she was driving when it crashed on U.S. Highway 192.

Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol did not identify the victim, a 42-year-old woman from St. Cloud.

She was headed east about 3:30 p.m. when she lost control of the sport utility vehicle she was driving and it overturned after striking a curb.

As it rolled, she was thrown into the westbound lanes and a car ran over her. Troopers said she was not wearing a seat belt.

Troopers said the driver of the westbound car was unable to swerve around her.

The victim died at the crash scene. Troopers have not yet determined the initial cause of the crash.
