A man who was pulled from the water in Narragansett Sunday afternoon has died, according to authorities.

Police said it happened at about 4:20 p.m. at Narragansett Town Beach.

Sgt. Keith Lagasse said the man was not breathing and CPR was performed on the beach.

The man was taken to South County Hospital, where he later died, said Lagasse.

His name was not immediately released.

No further information was made available.
