Borussia Dortmund Frauen continued their stunning start to the season on Sunday, as they earned a 4-0 win over SF Sölderholz in the Kreisliga A.

Having started their season with two big wins in the Kreisliga and Kreispokal, Borussia Dortmund Frauen went into their game away to SF Sölderholz looking to keep their winning run going.

Borussia Dortmund Frauen were in control of the game right from the start, and they took the lead in the 12th minute through Ann-Katrin Lau. The forward scored her fourth goal of the season to get the Black and Yellows up and running. The second goal arrived soon after, with Carolin Kaul scoring on the rebound after her initial shot was saved.

Borussia Dortmund continued their dominance after going two goals up. But the opposition goalkeeper was in inspired form, and Thomas Sulewski’s side had to wait until the 50th minute to add to their lead. And it was an own goal that all but secured the three points for BVB.

Sölderholz had a few chances of their own, but BVB goalkeeper Sandra Schröer made a couple of important saves to ensure that her side did not concede any goals.

Ana Zabell, who scored Borussia Dortmund’s Frauen’s first ever competitive goal earlier this month, then sealed the 4-0 win with a fine finish from the edge of the box.
