Girls' Generation's YoonA Reveals How A Real-Life Moment With Her Sister Landed Her A Starring Role

Girls’ Generation’s YoonA shared a funny story about how a real-life moment with her older sister got her a starring role in a movie!

On the September 25 episode of JTBC’s “Ask Us Anything,” YoonA appeared as a guest with her co-star Park Jung Min from the new film “Miracle.”

During the broadcast, cast member Kang Ho Dong mentioned that he heard that YoonA was cast in the film because of a real-life moment. YoonA explained, “I did a live broadcast while eating out with my older sister, and the director saw a clip of me getting a little annoyed during the broadcast. He said that he cast me after seeing the video because he thought I’d suit this role.”

The show then aired the clip in question, in which YoonA excitedly shows off the food she’s eating with her sister. While attempting to fix the angle, YoonA’s sister accidentally knocks the camera over. YoonA’s expression changes as she very seriously tells her sister, “Use your words. Put it where? Here?”

However, after watching the video, Seo Jang Hoon remarked that YoonA’s reaction was barely a show of annoyance. Super Junior’s Kim Heechul joked, “If that director had watched ‘Ask Us Anything,’ he could’ve cast Seo Jang Hoon in YoonA’s role [because of his temper].”

As the cast members continued to joke about Seo Jang Hoon’s “legendary” irritability, he made everyone on set burst into laughter by commenting, “I’ve really gotten casting offers. But I’m diligently blocking them. Because if that door opens, I don’t know if I’d be able to handle myself.”
