Rich Youmans is a co-editor, with Alice Kociemba and Robin Smith-Johnson, of From the Farther Shore: Discovering Cape Cod and the Islands Through Poetry (Bass River Press). “This Language, This Blood, This Land” is one of the anthology’s 118 poems that celebrate the region’s heritage, history, people, industries, and spirit. He lives in North Falmouth, with his wife, Alice Kociemba.
