Wanted: Florida BLUE Alert issued for man accused of killing sheriff’s deputy

A Florida BLUE Alert has been issued for a man accused of killing a Florida law enforcement officer on Friday.

Suspect Patrick McDowell was last seen in the area of U.S. 301 and Sandy Ford Road in Callahan. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, white undershirt, camouflage shorts, and black shoes. McDowell has large gauge earring holes in his ears. McDowell has a tattoo on his left shoulder stating, “Death Before Dishonor” and a tattoo on his right arm stating, “EGA.”

McDowell is the subject of a Florida Blue Alert because he is suspected of killing a Florida Law Enforcement Officer.

The shooting happened shortly after 2:30 a.m. Friday in Callahan, which is northwest of Jacksonville on Florida’s Atlantic Coast, the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office said.

If located, DO NOT APPROACH. Contact law enforcement immediately.
