BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department (BPD) is conducting a homicide investigation after they responded to a person down on Saturday, September 25, at approximately 9:37 a.m.
According to BPD, 61-year-old Marion Reynolds was walking his dog when he was shot and killed on the 3900 block of Mineral Ave S.W. Reports state that Reynolds was found unresponsive when officers arrived on the scene.
The Jefferson County Coroner pronounced Reynolds dead at the scene.
Detectives believe the victim was targeted; however, a clear motive has not been established. As a result, no arrest has been made. The investigation is ongoing. Updates will be provided as this case develops.
