Miya Marcano remains missing, person of interest found dead, deputies say

ORLANDO, Fla. (WESH/WFLA) —A person of interest in the disappearance of 19-year-old Miya Marcano was found dead on Monday from an apparent suicide, authorities reported.

27-year-old Armando Manuel Caballero was determined to be a person of interest after Marcano was declared missing. His vehicle was found near the scene of his death and has been taken in for evidence.

In the news conference, Orange County Sheriff John Mina said it appears to have been a situation where he might have developed a romantic interest in Marcano but she wasn’t interested in that way.

Marcano’s family was also at the press conference pleading for anyone with information about where she might be to come forward.

Marcano is 5 feet, 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen on Sept. 25  at the Arden Villas apartments, located at 3303 Arden Villas Boulevard in Orlando.

Investigators ask that anyone with information to contact to OCSO non-emergency number at 407-836-4357 and if anyone sees Marcano, they should call 911.
