The Oregon Ducks are the nation’s No. 3 football team and are on pace to sign the Pac-12 Conference’s top recruiting class for the fourth year in a row.

But even among those loft heights, the 2023 recruiting cycle appears to be set to become the best in program history, as elite prospects from all over the country are expressing heavy interest in visiting Eugene and possibly becoming part of the next flock of Ducks.

This weekend, 247Sports four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada is on an unofficial visit to Eugene and was rewarded with an Oregon scholarship offer after a discussion with coach Mario Cristobal:

The 6-foot-4, 179-pound signal-caller, out of Pittsburg High School (Pittsburg, California), is rated the nation’s No. 46 overall prospect, No. 5 quarterback and has already accepted an invitation to participate in the 2023 Under Armour All-American Game.

Rashada holds early offers from more than 20 programs, highlighted by Auburn, Florida, Oregon, Penn State, UCLA, Washington and others.

While it’s early in the 2023 recruiting cycle, Oregon has already offered a scholarship to 11 different quarterbacks.

But Rashada, a former teammate of Oregon freshman Jay Butterfield at Liberty High School, is clearly one of the marquee names to watch.
